OLGA GARCÍA Olga García Estilistas
With 33 years of experience in the hairdressing sector, Olga García is an active professional who never stops growing and learning. She opened her first salon in Cabezón de Pisuerga (Valladolid) whilst taking her first steps as a professional stylist, and she inaugurated a second salon in the same town two decades later.
Olga has trained with the best national and international professionals in the beauty and personal image sector: X-Presion, Toni & Guy, Vidal Sassoon, Mazella & Palmer, Raffel Pagès, Luciana Sabariz, Manuel Mon, and many others, combining her work in the classroom with the creation of her own collections. The distinctness of her collections is evident through the success they have achieved at competition level: third place at the Modalité Awards in Latin America, finalist at the Tocado Awards 2015 and winner of the Best Masculine Collection at the Tocado Awards 2017, and the Barberos 3.0 Award for the best masculine collection. She has also received the medal for professional development from the Foro Empleo. Her collections have also featured at awards with a high professional recognition such as those of Club Fígaro and AIPP and in 2017 she was prenominated for “Spanish Hairdresser of the Year” by Club Figaro. In 2019, her collection INSIDE which was created in partnership with Mayte Garrote, won the ‘Catwalk prize’ and was a finalist in the category Avant-Garde at the tenth edition of the Club Figaro Awards, as well as being nominated in the same category at the AIPP Awards. Furthermore, her men´s collection BLUE, is a finalist at the International Visionary Awards and wins the third prize in the AIPP Awards. In 2021 she’s finalist once again in the category Mens at the International Visionary Awards, and she’s also finalist in the International Hairstylist of the year category at the Hair Awards USA. In 2022 she’s finalist in the Best Men category of AIPP Awards.
Olga’s creations have been published in national magazines such as Hairstylists, C&C Magazine, Coiffure, Atelier, Tu Pelu, and Lucía Se Casa, and also internationally thanks to Modalité, Italian Queen International Magazine, and Russian magazine Hair's How.
Olga has a strong presence in solidarity campaigns going back ten years. Every year since 2009, she has participated in the event "Admire yourself as I admire you", an event that contributes to the fight against cancer. She also helps to organise a parade to raise funds. Furthermore, in 2016 she traveled to Athens with Tijeras Solidarias to provide haircuts to Syrian refugees. In 2018 and 2019 Olga organized the Creative Charity Parade, which raises funds to fight against various illnesses. Her work can also be seen on the big screen, as Olga has styled and applied makeup for short films by local filmmakers. In 2016 she was the image for the Periche brand with the Belladonna collection.
